Night sky watching organised- invokes huge enthusiasm at UCC
U C College Physics department organised Night sky watching for the students of U C College. Prof P.S.Shobhan, Maharajas College, Ernakulam led the proceedings. Prof Shobhan gave introductory lectures making students literate on star map and observational astronomy. The night draw huge enthusiasm from the student community enriched with an active question answer session. The high light of the night was when students could observe Jupiter and its satellites (Jovian moons).
The night concluded early morning with Thiruvathithira and a camp fire.
