The department of Physics, Union Christian College, Aluva, has scaled new heights since its inception in 1926. The B. Sc. Physics course was started in 1939. In 1958, the department saw the dawn of a new horizon with the sanction of M. Sc. Physics which was the first approved PG course by UGC to a private college in Kerala. Report: Department of Physics Union Christian College Aluva in association with Academy of Physics Teachers (APT) organized a three day residential workshop (2-4 SEPTEMBER 2026 ) for first semester post graduate students on Mathematical Physics. The workshop was envisioned to bridge the gap the students face in post graduate classes and expected to be helpful in preparing for exams like NET,GATE etc. Students from various colleges and university centers registered for the workshop.
