It’s been 75 years since the United States of America (US) inflicted the atomic bomb to the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. August 6 and August 9 were one of the black marks not even in the history of world war II but also in the history of the world itself which gave the gravity of the nuclear weapons and nuclear warfare. Not only the Hiroshima and Nagasaki but also the world is showing the impact of the atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
On the Nagasaki Day, when we tend to remember the fearful historic cruelty, let us look into the history and impact of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Department of Physics is organizing an online quiz program for students across the world based on the atomic physics. The brochure for the program is attached herewith. Students at all levels are encouraged to participate in the program. Those who score 75 % and above will receive certificate in their registered email ID. One applicant is allowed to do once.
